Annie says…

Vern is the most genial person to work alongside and, more importantly, he knows how to put people at ease. He is without ego and much more interested in others’ voices than his own. His journalism, both written and spoken is superb. His great skill is not to interrogate but to draw the very best from his guest so that the audience is both informed and engaged. I have told him that he is never allowed to retire!
